Opera Lab (Serbia), in partnership with Atrium (North Macedonia), invites young people aged 18–25 to take part in a cross-border creative workshop inspired by the immersive monodrama Crocodile. The activity is supported by the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) – WB Youth Cultural Fund.
This workshop will address gender identity and gender nonconformity, exploring the emotional and social challenges that can arise from these experiences — including exclusion, internal conflicts, peer pressure, and discrimination. Through the Sesame drama therapy approach and testing certain choreographic practices, participants will have the opportunity to explore their stories, emotions, and identities in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space.
Guided by a team of a theatre director Ana Grigorović, actor Đorđe Živadinović Grgur, psychologist Mirjana Marković and andragogue Maja Maksimović, the process will combine storytelling, movement, imagination, and personal reflection, offering a supportive environment for young people who are navigating questions of identity and belonging.
Who can apply?
Young people aged 18–25 from Serbia and North Macedonia who wish to explore themes of gender identity, gender nonconformity, and emotional well-being through creative expression. No previous theatre experience is required.
